Attending the 4X4 Expo Stafford was no small task. With a three-hour drive ahead of us and a van full of stock, careful planning was essential but, as always, things didn’t go exactly as expected!
The original plan was for Adam and Emily to travel in the 110 Defender, but a last-minute setback threw a spanner in the works. The day before the show, Adam badly sprained his ankle, making it impossible for him to use the clutch pedal. So, with a quick change of plans:
And despite the unexpected hiccup, the team powered through and made it to Stafford in great spirits.
From the moment we arrived, the atmosphere was fantastic—energetic, excited, and buzzing with adventure enthusiasts. There was a great mix of serious overlanders, weekend warriors, and newcomers looking to kit out their setups with the best gear.
One thing that really stood out this year was the growing interest in rooftop tent camping and overlanding gear. More and more people are looking for ways to make their outdoor adventures easier and more comfortable, and it was clear that visitors at the 4X4 Expo Staffordshire 2025 were eager to find the best 4X4 awnings, roof tents, and accessories to upgrade their setups.
Our custom-made display stand was a key part of our setup, designed to showcase both our Highlander Roof Tent and our awnings. Visitors could get up close and hands-on, feeling the quality materials and seeing how effortlessly everything operates. The Highlander Roof Tent was a major talking point, with customers loving how quick it is to set up and how durable the build quality is. Rooftop tent camping is clearly on the rise, with many attendees realizing how easy and practical it is for overlanding.
The response to our 4X4 awnings was just as exciting. Customers were drawn to the heavy-duty PU-coated canvas, the 4mm stainless steel pivot bracket, and the built-in LED lights. The ability to deploy them quickly and easily made them a must-have for many overlanders looking to enhance their outdoor experience.

Seeing customer reactions and hearing their feedback was a fantastic reminder of why we love what we do!
One of the biggest lessons from the show? Bring more stock!
Our 2.5-meter awnings sold out completely, with demand far exceeding our expectations. Visitors couldn’t get enough of the rugged build quality, innovative design, and ease of use.
The experience reinforced just how important it is to let customers see, touch, and test our products in person. Nothing compares to hands-on experience when choosing the right adventure gear.
