The awning is protected by a thick PVC outer cover, built to handle the worst of the British weather. It’s fully waterproof, UV-resistant, and tough enough to take years of abuse on and off-road. We’ve used a high-quality zip for smooth, reliable access no snags, no hassle. And of course, it proudly features the AMA Outdoors logo on the front, so it looks as good as it performs.
Adjustable stainless steel mounting brackets with multiple options.
Our mounting brackets are crafted from durable stainless steel for long-lasting strength and corrosion resistance. They’re adjustable in height to fit a wide range of vehicles and mounting positions. With multiple mounting options available, these brackets offer great flexibility while providing a rock-solid, secure base for your awning.

One of the most critical components of any 270 awning is the main hinge. Ours is engineered from 4mm stainless steel—chosen over aluminium for its superior strength and long-term durability. The awning features four heavy-duty arms made from aluminium, using a webbed structural design for maximum strength with minimal weight. This setup keeps the awning stable in wind and rough conditions while keeping the total weight down to just 30kg. The clever arm design gives you a solid, dependable structure that’s easy to handle and built to last.
Dual-colour built-in lights with stainless steel button controls and USB-powered Light Loom.
Each awning arm houses integrated LED strips, giving you a choice between a warm ambient glow for relaxing or a brighter white light for cooking and working after dark. Each light strip is controlled by its own stainless-steel push-button, so you can switch between modes quickly without needing extra switches or remotes. The included Light Loom features a USB connection, so you can power everything from a vehicle socket or portable power bank no hard-wiring required. Simple, reliable, and designed for real-world use.

One of the most important features for us was making sure water runs off properly, no more dealing with frustrating pools collecting on top. That’s why we’ve added in three tension arms at key points in the frame. These apply just the right amount of pressure to create a consistent slope across the fabric, helping water drain off naturally. It’s a small detail that makes a big difference when the weather turns.

When conditions get challenging, having extra support matters. Each arm of the awning includes a built-in drop-down leg that can be deployed quickly whenever needed. They’re ideal for windy conditions, overnight setups, or longer stays when extra stability is a must. The Awning and Wall Kit are made from 280gsm ripstop polycotton with fully seald seems, a tough, high-performance fabric built for demanding outdoor use. It’s treated with a PU (polyurethane) coating and rated to a 5000mm hydrostatic head, making it fully waterproof and highly resistant to rain and moisture. The ripstop weave adds reinforcement, helping prevent small tears from spreading. The fabric is also completely blackout, blocking sunlight to keep the space cool, shaded, and comfortable, perfect for serious time outdoors.
Full wall kit made from durable ripstop polycotton with midge-proof mesh windows.
The wall kit uses the same durable ripstop polycotton fabric as the awning, providing complete coverage on all sides, including the vehicle side. Each wall features windows fitted with midge proof mesh (even the scotish midge’s), so you can enjoy fresh air without the bugs. The walls fully enclose the space and fasten securely with Velcro, creating a comfortable, insect-free living area in all conditions.
